FACES Project

The research and teaching activities of the Center for Security Studies (CSS) cover a broad range of topics related to international security policy.

The basic principles of international security policy underwent a significant change at the end of the Cold War, when tectonic shifts within the international system of states took place. The events of 11 September 2001 caused a global reassessment of the challenges to security policy. In recognition of recent trends, the CSS covers research topics that deal with a wide range of security policy challenges in the 21st century.
